So as part of my photography class this semester, we were given the assignment of re-interpreting a turn-of-the-century photograph through a contemporary lens. I chose Lady Hawarden’s Girl in a Fancy Dress, and was able to persuade my roommate to pose for me (on the condition that I do her hair and make-up). So, after a brief photo shoot involving an antique silver mirror and several failed attempts at creating dramatic lighting (there were no plugs to move around the bend-y lamp, sadly), here is the result!
