One of the great things about Carleton’s Bachelor of Journalism program is the breadth of courses you have the option of taking in fourth year. In addition to courses like ‘Reporting in Conflict Zones’ and ‘Journalism and the Developing World,’ there is a fantastic photojournalism course that really gets students out in the community to practice not only the art of photography but its real-life applications in news and feature reporting. Our year-end project was to create a slideshow that included the shots taken over the year and centred around a specific theme. I chose the theme ‘happiness’ and set my slideshow to Johnny Reid’s ‘Let’s Go Higher.’ Take a moment to watch and let me know what you think!
