Winter definitely came early here to Calgary. We’ve had snow almost every weekend since the start of November, including a blizzard followed by a deep freeze where temperatures hit -40 with the wind chill. BRRR!!
One thing is for sure though – this really is Big Sky Country. A friend of mine had to drive out to Black Diamond last week for an interview on a day we both had off and knew I hadn’t been outside of the city yet so invited me to come for the drive. Wow. That’s all I can really say.
We’ve had a few chinooks so far already and I can officially say they are the best thing ever. One rolled into town the other day but with the temperature hovering around zero, we got another 10 inches of snow. It’s super slippery out there but it sure is beautiful.
